Welcome to Seoul American Middle School, home of the Bulldogs.
It is with honor and pleasure that I serve as your new Assistant Principal for school year 2009-2010. I believe a good education builds self-esteem, wisdom and character. Self-esteem is the consciousness of feeling good about being educated. Wisdom is the key principle to understanding how important an education is to developing character. Character promotes knowledge that develops the attitude of making the right decisions in life.
The late Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. stated the following about change: “Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle.” You all witnessed the change in our country this past year with electing the first African American president, Mr. Barack Obama. Yes we can make a difference and it starts with your education. I have a simple motto that I live: “It is not how you start, but how you finish.” Let’s work together and make this year an exciting and challenging school year.
